The SEED2SCALE project aims to establish and strengthen five National Competence Centres for Social Innovation (NCSI) in Croatia, Greece, Italy, Romania and Slovenia.

Project objective:

To mature the five National Competence Centres for Social Innovation (NCPIs) so that they operate within a defined legal framework and implement effective governance and business models. This includes analysing the performance of each country and maintaining a dialogue with ESF governing bodies and innovation ecosystems to develop NCCSI core competencies.

Project Objective:

Foster new relationships in the social innovation ecosystem, support best practises and raise awareness of the impact of social innovation policies.

The most important measures include:

• Establishing the NCCSI with a clear organisational structure, mission and leadership.
• Development and validation of a portfolio of competencies through five pilot projects.
• Working with authorities and stakeholders to co-develop national strategies and action plans, with a focus on financial sustainability.
• Establishment of national online platforms that serve as resource centres in the respective national languages.
• Participation in a transnational network for knowledge exchange and learning between EU Member States.
