Positiva s.p. is a fast-growing high-tech firm which combines creativity and software. The company’s primary activity is the development of classical and Web information systems and the development of server applications based on original Web solutions. The company’s main product is a system for Web sales of e-books and music, which creates benefits for all involved: prevents copying of copyrighted materials pleasant and safe means of purchasing for users dramatically lowers publishing costs This field has grown rapidly in Slovenia in the last five years – over 10 percent on average, and this is expected to continue in the coming years. In view of the fact that marketing of the product will be focused on promotion of sales of local books and music, it has been established that no such system is available abroad. Therefore Positiva plans to capture new markets fairly quickly, first in neighbouring countries and then farther afield. The system is excellent especially for local markets, especially shallow markets, since initial publishing costs are reduced by 90 percent. Publishing will be much more accessible for issuers who would otherwise have to publish independently or through publishers. Therefore we can also expect a wider range of works on the market.
